During winter, the fields are thoroughly ploughed till fine tilth is obtained. Removal of weeds and addition of manure 10–15 days before transplantation improves the soil quality.
It is important to constantly work to build a healthy soil that is rich in organic matter and has all the nutrients that the plants need. Several methods viz. green manuring, addition of manures and biofertilizers etc can be used to build up soil fertility. These organic sources not only add different nutrients to the soil but also help to prevent weeds and increase soil organic matter to feed soil microorganisms.
Due to high altitude land area we adopt blend of manual methods and modern techniques and equipments.
Drying is the most common method of medicinal plant preservation and, due to high investment and energy costs, drying is also a large expense in medicinal plant production. Drug quality and consequently earnings are significantly influenced by the drying regime. Conventionally, low drying temperatures between 30 and 50°C are obtained to protect sensitive active ingredients, but the decelerated drying process causes a low capacity of drying installations. We use our indian traditional methods for cleaning, drying and sorting of herbs along with multiple quality checks in the process.
Our team experts check the quality of the product with different quality criteria. Then they send a sample of batch to our Quality Control team for analysis.
